Dr Hilary Geoghegan BA (Exeter), MA (London), PhD (London) ESRC Postdoctoral Fellow Email: h.geoghegan@rhul.ac.uk |
Hilary is a cultural geographer. Her research interests lie in three main areas: geographies of knowledge and knowing; collecting and collections; and the cultural geographies of enthusiasm.
Hilary graduated from the University of Exeter in 2002 with a BA (Hons) in Geography with European Study. With a keen interest in cultural geography, she completed the MA in Cultural Geography (Research) at Royal Holloway in 2003. In collaboration with the Science Museum in London and under the supervision of Professor Felix Driver, she then embarked upon her PhD, entitled ‘The Culture of Enthusiasm: Technology, Collecting and Museums’. Having completed her PhD at the end of 2007, Hilary is now an ESRC postdoctoral fellow in the department, working with Professor Clive Gamble.
Hilary is a member of the department’s Social and Cultural Geography Research Group.
