• We are – Connie, Joey, Emma, Iain, Julia, Paul and Tom: MA Cultural Geography (Research) 2004/2005
“Cultural Geography [is]
motivated differently in different places. We see cultural geography, therefore,
as a contested terrain of debate – in fact, a far-flung set of debates…
Cultural geography is a living tradition of disagreements, passions, commitments
and enthusiasms…
[C]ultural geography is better thought of as a series of intellectual –
and, at core, politicized – engagements with the world. It is a style
of thought, fixed in neither time or space.” (Anderson)
• What we are doing: This
project constitutes one part of the Element 3: Research Training module in
the Cultural Geography (Research) MA at the Department of Geography, Royal
Holloway, University of London. The project’s formal title is ‘Group
Project in Webpage Design’ and is set up to “give students practical
experience of working in a team to produce a Web Resource in Cultural Geography”
