Below we explain the theoretical context for our project within cultural geography – in this way situating it within two interconnected discourses:

• Highlighting the use of the auditory sense in our understanding and experience of the world

• Promoting the importance of sounds in creating a sense of place

This project provides a way of experiencing the city (London) through sounds.
