Rural Community in Somoto Hi! My name's David and I am a PhD student in the ICT4D Collective in the Royal Holloway, University of London.

I'm a part-time distant-based student from Madrid and this is my forth year of research. That means that I must face a lot of problems and special difficulties, but it's really exciting. Internet, voIP and Tim Unwin's patient make this this possible. Simultaneously, I am now working at Red.es as a Project Coordinator, promoting the use of ICT in Spain. Previously, I worked at Bip Bip Foundation as the responsible of the Technology Department.

I am a telecommunications Engineer from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid with have a Master degree in Acción Solidaria Internacional de Europa from the University Carlos III de Madrid.

Animals are my passion. I love spending time with all kind of animals (I am ashamed of the bulls' Spanish tradition). I also like to organise big parties with my friends at home. I love music, theatre, sports (specially skying, football, and before, capoeira), reading and travelling. I have been to Latinamerica (Nicaragua, Peru, Honduras) as an aid worker different periods of time, meeting really marvellous people.
