The Shopping Routes project, based at Royal Holloway, the London College of Fashion, and the Victoria and Albert Museum has provided the research expertise for a major new exhibition of London fashion in the 1960s.
'Swinging Sixties' will take over the Fashion Court of the Victoria and Albert Museum from June to December 2006. The exhibition is accompanied by an illustrated volume, produced by David Gilbert, Bronwen Edwards and other members of the research team, that places sixties' fashions in the wider contexts of cultural and urban change.
