The UK National Committee for Human Dimensions of Global Environmental Change was established at a meeting in London in late October 2006, in order to provide a coherent voice for the diverse community of researchers in the UK working in this dynamic area. The Committee is affiliated to the of the Royal Society’s Global Environmental Research Committee (GERC), and is recognised by the IHDP as one of its associated National Committees. It is being supported financially by the UK Economic and Social Research Council, as a vehicle for funding approved human dimensions activities, especially those promoting international networking. If you are interested in finding out more about the committee, contact the Chair, Prof. David Simon (d.simon@rhul.ac.uk).
